Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
This Sunday, March 16th, 2-4pm CST, we are happy to have returning guest
Richard Hayes Phillips to continue an analysis of the phenomena of
one-party counties in Texas, and what that meant for the March 4th
Primary Election. Richard will also discuss his take on the possible
"do-over" Democratic primaries in Michigan and Florida and the
ramifications of the potential disenfranchisement of millions of
Democrats in those states. Richard Hayes Phillips, Ph.D., began
investigating the 2004 Ohio Presidential election when he received an
unsolicited e-mail containing obviously erroneous election results from
Cleveland. He quickly found that hundreds of votes in certain precincts
had inexplicably shifted from John Kerry to other presidential
candidates. This made him a witness to a crime, with a duty to
investigate further and to present his findings publicly. The result is
his upcoming book, “Witness to a Crime”, an investigative report and
eyewitness history, the document of record for what really happened in
Ohio. Richard will be joined by Austin VoteRescue member and attorney
David Rogers, who will share his knowledge on the somewhat unique
one-party counties in Texas. David was the campaign manager for
Republican Supreme Court Justice candidate Steve Smith when Smith lost
his bid for re-election in the 2006 mid-terms. Smith lost in several
counties where he had previously won by several percentage points. Hart
InterCivic machines were used in Tarrant County, the scene of the
infamous "100,000 extra votes than voters" incident. David can share the
story of the recount that ensued. In our second hour, we will welcome
returning guest John Gideon, Co-Director and Information Manager
for VotersUnite.org He is a disabled Viet Nam Vet (Navy) and a
retired federal employee. John has been learning about and working on
the issues related to voting reform and voting integrity since early in
2003. He maintains the current news links on the VotersUnite! website and
compiles the "Daily Voting News," a clipping service of voting news
articles for activists, attorneys, elections officials, elected
officials, and others who are interested in voting reform issues. His
personal knowledge of current events on these issues has become a trusted
resource for voting integrity activists across the country.

We will get John's "take" on the Primary news and other important
election stories that have been breaking around the country.

The show can be heard on the radio in the Austin area at 90.1 FM; is
