[Voterescue] Part 2 of Message about Hearing on Wednesday

Hi, VoteRescuers,

Part 2 of the previous message.....

Now that you have the press release of the hearing, we'd like to also 
encourage you to contact your State Representative and State Senator and 
strongly urge them to attend the hearing on Wednesday, too. (o find 
their contact info, go to _www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us_.  You can forward 
them the press release to fill them in about our speakers and the 
reception after the hearing where they can talk directly with our 
out-of-town expert witnesses.

The other official we urge each of you to contact is your County Clerk 
and request that they attend the hearing and reception. To find your 
County Clerk's info, go to 
_http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/cclerks.shtml.

_The last piece of information we wish you to be aware of and share with 
your State Representative and Senator and County clerk is that the House 
Elections Committee hearing will be webcast live via the Capitol's 
website.  The webpage for the streaming video is: 
http://www.house.state.tx.us/media/welcome.php.  Also know that these 
committee hearing webcasts are archived on this same website for later 
retrieval and/or viewing.  We will hopefully send out clips of our 
experts' and others' testimonies after the event, so keep an eye out for 
a future email with these included.

Nancy has done a fantastic job taking care of the million details and 
calls that are necessary to welcome our out-of town speakers and make 
the hearing and the activities surrounding it a huge success.

Without the extremely generous donation from Jenny Clark, Austin 
election integrity activist extraordinaire and author of many excellent 
letters to the editor  published in the Chronicle and Statesman over the 
years singing the praises of hand-counted paper ballots, our high 
profile participation in this entire legislative gathering would not 
have happened. Period.  Thank you, Jenny!!
