/For our 4th of July VoteRescue Radio show, we had hoped to have Vickie
reporting live from the Festival for Liberty in Sturgis, South Dakota
and Karen from our studio at Brave New Books in Austin, BUT the stars
just weren't aligning for us out there in the Dakota Badlands. Because
cell phone reception turned out to be a bit temperamental, we've decided
to postpone our report about the June 25th Texas House Elections
Committee hearing until _next_ Friday, July 11, when Vickie is back in
Austin. We sincerely apologize for having to change our broadcasting
plans at the last moment.

/

/So, this Friday, July 4, 2008, from 6-8pm CDT, VoteRescue Radio will
be rebroadcasting our previous interview with ION SANCHO, the
Supervisor of Elections in Leon County, Florida. /

Ion made major election integrity news in 2005 when he invited in the
"Black Box Voting hacking team" (as we call it), including Finnish
computer scientist Harri Hursti and Dr. Herbert Thompson, to examine the
Diebold optical scan counters which were being used in his county. This
was the first time that voting integrity experts had been invited to
examine real election equipment. What was demonstrated there, and widely
publicized afterward, was the fact that election results could be hacked
in minutes by simply switching out the memory card in the machine with
one containing a live "hacking" program. This famous hack can be viewed
in its entirety on the emmy-award nominated HBO documentary, "Hacking
Democracy" (purchase through www.hackingdemocracy.com
<http://www.hackingdemocracy.com>) . A link to the clip of the hack is
here:

Serving since January 1989, Ion has been reelected four times and is the
only Supervisor of Elections in Florida without party affiliation. He
has devoted special attention to studying voting technologies and
citizen participation in our electoral system. Under his administration
Leon County is now has the highest voter turnout of Florida's 67
counties. We'll relay more about Ion's amazing career and experience
when we introduce him on Friday's show.

We will also have returning guest BOB SCHULZ of We the People
Foundation, who will complete the details from last week's interview on
the amazing citizens' action he is orchestrating [for June 30, 2008] to
present Petitions for Redress of Grievances to Congressional leaders of
the U.S.; Bob will detail how YOU can help; and tell us about his
upcoming hunger fast related to this dramatic and important action.

We also welcome back another returning guest, JIM MARCH, to give us an
update on the recent victory by the Democratic Party of Pima County,
Arizona. In the court case which Jim has reported on during a prior
show, the judge's recent decision will force the county election
officials to release election data to citizens which will allow them to
review those records for possible election fraud.

//VoteRescue Radio/ can be heard on the radio in the Austin area at 90.1
FM; is streaming live on www.wtprn.com <http://www.wtprn.com/> (for "We
the People Radio Network"), AND, can be heard OVER THE PHONE at
512/485-9010! /All shows are archived at the above web site, usually
within a couple of hours after 8pm CDT.//
