Karen asked me to pass on more detailed information regarding gathering petition signatures for the Stop Domain Subsidies campaign. Think this will be helpful.
1. Petitioner will be paid $1.00 per signature for entities (ie-vote rescue) and $1.50 for signatures to individuals.
2. Petitioner needs to specify to which organization they are donating money. Don't write on the petition! Use a sticky note! Also, if a petitioner is getting signatures for themselves, they must fill out a W-9 form at the SDS office.
3. If someone is interested in actively petitioning they are required to participate in a short training session. Training is Monday through Saturday at 10am and again at 2pm.
4. This is a great way to earn money for your specific cause or for yourself. Now that we know the signatures need not be notarized, it makes it that much easier.
Any questions? You can call me (Laura) at 293-1948 or call the SDS office at 383-8484 and talk to Lee or Linda.
