Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One Vote At a Time!
Tomorrow (Sunday, January 20th, from 2-4pm CST) on VoteRescue Radio we
will have an interesting update from our returning guest Mark Adams, who
recently discovered that South Carolina's state constitution specifically
prohibits secret vote counting ~ making their entire primary election,
held today with electronic voting machines, in violation of their own
state constitution! Mark will be discussing his open letter to Senator
John Edwards, appealing for him to take action, as well as "Project Vote
Count", a citizen exit poll effort he has organized for the upcoming
Florida primary. Then we'll be interviewing two other extraordinary
citizens who have been, or are currently, involved in legal actions
against public officials responsible in some capacity for the elections
in their respective states of Texas and Colorado.
First we will speak with longtime member of VoteRescue, Deborah Stevens,
who lives right here in Austin.
Deborah's mission is to stand up for the Constitution and The Bill of
Rights and to educate folks through her music with Three Shoes Posse who
created our favorite song, "VoteRescue", which opens our show every week.
Deborah is currently involved in bringing criminal charges against Texas
public officials by taking them directly to standing state grand juries.
Grand juries were set up by the founders of this Republic to be
the fourth branch of government, the People's branch. They are not
regulated or controlled by any of the other three branches of government.
They are not meant to "grease the wheels" of the criminal justice system,
but rather to throw gravel in the gears. They were set up to be the
shield and the sword of the people to protect us from government
corruption and to give us valuable tools to prosecute criminals in
government. No other branch of government can legally or Constitutionally
deny the public access to our grand juries. They are our peers, not
theirs. Learn from Debbie how to exercise our right to bring criminal
complaints against government officials directly to our own grand juries,
so that we can effectively take back our Republic
Then during the last hour, we will welcome Claudia Kuhns of Denver,
Colorado.
Claudia is the Executive Director of the Public Integrity Project. She
was the chief researcher for Conroy v. Dennis, alawsuit which caused the
Colorado Secretary of State to retest the electronic voting equipment, as
proper testing had notbeen done by the prior Secretary of State. The
Public Integrity Project also investigates government contractingpractices.
Claudia's forte is retrieving government records under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) and shewill share with our listeners some of the
more effective techniques she has learned over the years. Other items
we'll be covering if time permits: * Recount update from New Hampshire:
Bev Harris of Black Box Voting and Sally Castleman of Election Defense
Alliance find slits cut into the ballot boxes!* News items from the
Michigan primary; results of Nevada primary discussed* FEC: "Nobody
home!"* New Holt bill analyzed This is a CALL-IN show and we will be
taking calls during the first hour, and will announce call-in times for
our guest. The call-in numbers are: 1-888-202-1984, and in the Austin
area, or if you have unlimited long distance, the number is 512-646-1984.
Hope to "see" and hear you "On the Air" on Sunday! WE ARE
WINNING--because of citizens like YOU!! With thanks for your support,
Vickie and Karenkarp at mail.comkaren@voterescue.org
