Hi Everyone,  Many of you may know about the petition to amend Article XII of the City Charter.  The City wants to give high end developers like Simon and the Domain Mall $65 million in tax subsidies! Stop Domain Subsidies thinks the voters of Austin have the right to decide how their tax dollars are spent.  Please take just a moment to read the new information below and if you are a registered voter in the City of Austin print out a petition (both sides) sign and mail into the SDS office.  This just takes a few moments and your signature will help ensure that this gets on the ballot in May.

            This is great news to speed the finale of this petition drive to stop the Domain subsidies.

            We just learned that the City Clerk's Office will NOT require that our petitions be notarized.  What this effectively means is that a signer can just print out the petition, sign it (if you haven't yet, of course!) and mail it to us!  

            We are now asking all of you on this list to send a message to your friends, neighbors, customers, co-workers -- you get the picture -- to go to our web site and print out the petition (making sure they print both pages -- the signature page and the amendment language page), then sign it and mail it, right away to our office!
