Hi VoteRescuers!

*First of all, we hope to see you all at our meeting tonight at 7pm at Brave
New Books!* We'll have a short meeting, then view the mind-blowing Dan
Rather HD documentary, "The Trouble With Touchscreens" which aired last year
(but only on HD Net); this expose focuses on the unbelievable problems with
the manufacturing (in a Manila, Phillipines sweat shop) and the performance
of the ES&S Ivotronic voting machines. (This is the same type used by Jim
Welch of Wharton County, Texas, who experienced the "flipping" of his vote
on the Ivotronic touchscreen machine during the Texas state election this
past November, and the same which did NOT record 18,000 votes for a
Congressional position in the Florida District 13 race in Sarasota - called
"undervotes", which resulted in a lawsuit by the Democratic candidate
Christine Jennings. Her Republican opponent "won" by 369 votes.) The
film also breaks for the first time the story that punchcard ballots with
"hanging and pregnant chads" , etc, were pre-manufactured to fail by
the Sequoia company, which happens to also be one of the top four vendors of
electronic voting machines in the country. (What a coincidence!)

Secondly, we were requested to put a link to this "Chip-in" account for
anyone who would like to donate to those who are trying to raise funds to
attend the Republican State Convention as Ron Paul delegates. *We are doing
this because we support citizens being delegates for ALL political parties,
regardless of whom they support. If anyone has a link to any similar
fundraising effort for any other party's Convention, please send it to us,
and we'll send it out also. We are a non-partisan organization and we
support full participation of all citizens in whichever party's Convention
that they support.*

Thank you, and we hope to see you at the meeting tonight!
