Thurs., Sept. 13, 2007, at Threadgill's Restaurant (Downtown) at 7 pm
A dinner gathering: to allow those who helped run our First Ever Exit Poll at the Texas GOP Straw Poll in Ft. Worth on Sept. 1 to share his/her adventures getting to and from and volunteering at the poll. A discussion about what worked well and what didn't will also take place so we'll be even better prepared for future exit polls. ("We are watching Them!")
Anyone interested in hearing the "back story" and the "nitty gritty" about the exit poll and our startling observations of the voting procedures used in the straw poll is also welcome to come eat some good homestyle cookin' this Thursday!

Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Brave New Books at 7 pm
VoteRescue Monthly Meeting: will include info about:
-the recent Exit Poll (based on the discussions this Thursday at Threadgill's); -updates about "Microsoft 811" (a.k.a., HR 811 - remember to keep making calls to your Representative in Congress and members of the House Rules Comm.);
-meetings with local and state officials;
-legal action to stop the use of voting machines;
-petition drives;
-the Dear Dana campaign;
-you name it.
-Maybe even some video footage from the Straw Poll will be ready to preview (hint, hint, Terry, Kathleen and Gregory).

For more information, call Karen at 496-7408 or Vickie at 775-3737
