[Voterescue] Support the Efforts of Indy Texans!

  Hi, VoteRescuers,


As some of you may know, VoteRescue has formed and is continuing to build a coalition, "Texans for REAL Elections" (TRE), that includes other organizations who support our mission to re-instate elections that use paper ballots hand-counted in public view with secure procedures. (It was under this umbrella name that we conducted the our Exit Poll at the Texas GOP Straw Poll last Saturday, Sept. 1st.)


We have formed our coalition in order to:


-periodically draw from the ranks of like-minded individuals in other organizations in our request for volunteers for actions we take; 


-show the public that there are many, many more people than just the VoteRescue members who are behind what we do;  and


-support what our Coalition partners are doing by sending out alerts to VoteRescue members about important actions our partners are taking as long as they are non-partisan in nature.  


One of our coalition partners, IndyTexans (Independent Texans at www.independenttexans.org), has been at the front lines of action toward stopping illegal toll roads. There is an important CAMPO meeting this Monday (TOMORROW) night, Sept. 10.

Dear Friends & Members: 

 I suspect you all know by now that there is an extremely important hearing in Austin this coming Monday, Sept. 10, starting at 6 pm, at the Capitol, about the freeway-to-tollway conversion schemes of Gov. Rick Perry, Ric Williamson, the Transportation Commission Chair, , and many local elected officials.  Years of work to get the CAMPO (Capitol Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) to listen to the people of the Austin area are coming to a head.  
 

Hearing: Mon. Sept 10th – TX State Capitol Exten. Auditrm. E1.004, 6:pm   -----Be there early for the Rally if you can!
