Hi there VoteRescuers! We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Laura Westcott,
who has finally got our e-mail list up and running! WOW! We'll have all
you names entered soon and will then be able to keep up with each of you
more currently. (At the same time, we commit to not flooding your inbox
with unnecessary e-mails!) I apologize if you get a duplicate message on
this meeting notice. I am sending this out the new way and the old way
because I'm not sure if all of your names are loaded into our new mailing
list yet and do not want to take a chance on anyone missing this e-mail.
This should be resolved after today. TOMORROW night, Tuesday, August
14th, is a very important meeting at Brave New Books, 7 - 9:30 pm, 1904
Guadalupe (NW corner of MLK & Guadalupe, next to Chase Bank. Go
downstairs to the book store). We will be planning for the Texas Straw
Poll which will take place in Fort Worth on August 31st and September
1st. We will be asking any VoteRescuers who can to meet us in Fort Worth
to execute either an exit poll or to collect affidavits from the voters.
We will be discussing tomorrow night which approach will be the most
effective to yield, hopefully, significant data. We'll be updating
everyone on our campaign to further educate County Commissioners here in
Travis County about the e-voting machine fiasco; we need volunteers to
continue this process on an ongoing basis. We'll give an update about the
important events in California and how they should help every election
integrity activist move our officials closer to hand-counted paper
ballots. We will also be continuing with our "Dear Dana" campaign and
will demonstrate some innovative ways to collect more signatures (Thank
you, Allen Davisson!) Parking: I suggest parking across MLK on San
Antonio at a meter. I get a spot there every time! Hope to see you
there!
