YOUR HELP NEEDED COUNTING PAPER BALLOTS
Oct. 14, 2009
WE NEED YOU!...to help us count PAPER BALLOTS!
The postal workers have told us to "BRING A BUS....to pick up all these
ballots!" from the post office!!! SO, YOUR HELP is NEEDED. Will you
consider working a three hour shift this Saturday, October 17?
PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR LISTS!
The 2009 Continental Congress Election has two components:
- Hand-
Counted Paper Ballots, cast and counted this past Saturday, October
10 AND - Mail-in ballots, which were mailed from all across the
country to right here in AUSTIN, TEXAS.
We made history last Saturday
the 10th, with walk-in voting in 95 "Voting Centers" in 21 states across
the country! (Many thanks to our fantastic Austin Team Leader,
Lee LeTeff, her "assistant", Mary Krenek, and all of our other
wonderful volunteers that made our Austin Voting Center a huge success!)
NOW: HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO HELP HAND-COUNT REAL, LIVE
PAPER BALLOTS!
On Saturday, October 17, mail-in
ballots from across Texas, AND across the entire U.S., will be coming
to an Austin P.O. Box and VoteRescue has the charge of counting ALL
mail-in ballots and creating the final tally of CC2009 Delegate winners
across the country!
WE NEED TEAMS OF CITIZEN COUNTERS FOR SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 17, to help us count potentially thousands of paper ballots!
We will start at 11 am on Saturday, October 17.
VENUE:
Lyons Gardens Assembly Hall/Church Residential Community
2720 Lyons Rd.
Austin, Texas 78702
(Go east on 7th Street; left on Webberville; right on Lyons. The venue is on the left corner.)
We will be counting most of the day, possibly into the evening.
We would like to suggest shifts of 11 til 2; 2 til 5, and 5 til 8 pm.
(This shift could end early depending on the number of ballots.)
(OR: Be a champ and work more hours!!)
If you can help, please e-mail us and we will put you on the counting
schedule.
This will be HISTORIC in many ways: With public elections, most states
have gone 95 percent or more with electronic voting machines which, as
most of you know, count our votes in secret. But because Bob Schulz
of We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education "GETS IT" about electronic voting, he wanted every state in the Union, plus D.C.,
to hold their CC2009 delegate elections with "Voting Centers" and
hand-counted paper ballots, as per a plan that Karen and I submitted
to him last May after traveling on the train to Jekyll Island and
presenting our information at the first planning session for CC2009.
Because not all of the states were able to organize "in person"
Voting Centers, mail-in ballots were added to the protocol. And
VoteRescue is in charge of counting them!
PLEASE let us know if you can help! Let's have some fun demonstrating
transparent vote-counting! Citizen observers will be welcome, just
e-mail us and we'll tell you where we'll be!
YOURS FOR TRANSPARENT, Citizen- Controlled VOTE COUNTING!
